Who's that girl?
There once was a girl from Shotley
Who typed up some words quite promptly
With thoughts in her mind
And a heart that was kind
She lived to be old and happy.
Forgive me, but I think you have a typo. Or are rhythm-ly challenged. :)
At least you are original. The rest of us steal poetry.
"There once was a girl from Shotley Who Geordiely dressed rather motley With thoughts in her mind And a heart that was kind She bounced when she walked, rather hotly."
Maybe not ever written, but certainly the first one I've written since I stopped having to write them in English classes at school. I have to admit my English teach probably wouldn't be very impressed with that one.

Shotley Bridge. I see.
Its the first poem i've ever written, and when you say it out loud with a geordie accent it has one.
ReplyDeleteBut I like your version :)

DeleteBy "one" I mean rhythm.
